Hi, I've recently moved to Spain (Madrid) and yesterday took the delivery of model 3 SR. I understand this might not be the best forum to ask the details, however, it'd be appreciated if someone can help me I need to know
1) what benefits am I entitled to and how can I get them? I believe I need to get to local office to get DGT environmental sticker?
2) Also what taxes do I need to pay and where can i pay them?
3) Lastly do I need to register for any specific app or service for free parkings within Madrid?

Please let me know if there is another specific item I need to be aware of as this is my first car in Europe,

1-. One of the benefits would be a discount on the circulation tax. Other benefits would be free parking and the like. Better ask at city hall.

2-. You should pay the circulation tax at the town hall. As far as I know, this year's tax has already been paid by Tesla when they deliver the car to you, so you would have to pay next year, it is an annual tax. Also ask at the town hall.

Secondly, I got an email from Tesla and this statement confused me a bit "Confirm the IVTM bonus with your town hall within 1 month after receiving the final documentation"

Depends of the town hall, you have to send an oficial register requesting the IVTM bonus for the next years. I don't know in Madrid City.

IVTM for this year is already paid by Tesla.

When you mention that you have moved to Madrid, to which municipality did you do so?

As additional information to what my colleagues have told you... It is highly recommended that you go to the City Hall of the Municipality of Madrid in which you reside and check if you have any benefit in the payment of the municipal tax for the circulation permit (IVTM), and if so, make sure that the procedure is well done for next year when you are the one who pays it. At this point, each City Hall makes its decisions regarding whether to apply bonuses or not, hence we recommend that you go.

Regarding the environmental sticker, when you go to a Correos post office, you need to bring... the vehicle's circulation permit, either the provisional one that Tesla has provided you or the definitive one if it has already arrived at your current address, and also, your personal identification document (DNI or NIE).

If when you talk about parking in Madrid you mean the city, you can park in both blue and green zones 24 hours a day, from Monday to Sunday, without having to register in any app and you don't need to get a receipt from the ticket machines. This does not apply to other municipalities in the Community of Madrid, since each one has its own regulations.

This depends on each City Council, usually between March and May. Ask when you go.

Tesla has sent provisional documentation to your account. In a few days, the final documentation should arrive at your home via a courier company.

First two questions have been already covered. Regarding #3, no, no need to register. At least not in Madrid City. In other cities could be different. Park systems are controlled automatically by plate number. Since your car is already in Traffic Authority database, there is no need to register as EV. Just park in any green or blue parking place. And there is no time limit.
