Plaza de España parking is maybe your best options. The other one you say is quite narrow. Cartagena is a small City and you have a nice walk from Plaza de España to the sea. When are you going there?

We are driving down from Norway next summer. Staying on El Valle golf and visiting Cartagena amongst other places. Hoping that I can charge at Pinatar Park shopping centre north-east of San Javier (AP7 exit 777 close to Dos Mares Shopping centre) during the stay.

You are completely right. This area lacks to have more options to charge, there’ just a few and far. If you want to know the chargers location in Spain, probably the best option is to download the Electromaps app (equivalent to Openchargemap but more focused in the Spanish territory) and choose the kind of connectors you need.

Now the city shows a couple of chargers active and a few more that seems will be activated. Maybe next summer they will be ready.

Por mi provincia Valencia Tienes de paso el SuperCharger de paterna y si bajs por la Autopista A7 Tarragona hasta Alicante en algunos centros comerciales tambien podras cargar gratis
 Y si vienes por carretera nacional yo vivo en Gandia-Valencia aqui puedes cargar gratis en Centro comercial La vital tienes 2 cargadores Tesla puedes entrar bien con tu coche aqui y en estacion renfe de gandia tambien pero hay que ira oficina de turismoa pedir te dejn la targeta para poder cargar tu coche
Te aconsejo mejor en Centro Comercial la vital aqui en Gandia

y unos 15 a 20km mas adelante hacia Alicante tienes centro Comercial La marina en Ondara estan justo al lado misma salida autopista ahi tambien tienes cargadores de Tesla y entra bien tu coche sin problemas

Yeah, but they are a good enough to get some juice for the daily commute while you are doing some tourism in the city. In 4 hrs at 7 kWh you get around 100km of range with a Model X...

The one on La Manga is too far away to be usefull I'm afraid. From El Valle to Cartagena and back again it's better to use the chargers at Pinatar park. Senator Mar Menor Hotel also has a destination charger, but it seems only for customers. The Cartagena city chargers in the link seems to be a test until March 2019 so I'll have to wait and see if it will be available after that date too.
