En los comentarios alguien formula algunas preguntas interesantes relativas al extra de peso de la nueva batería (+200 libras, unos 90 kg si no me equivoco) donde el autor del video responde que efectivamente procedería la sustitución de los muelles de suspensión, pero que el cliente no quiso hacerlo por ahorro de costes.
Copio las preguntas/respuestas originales por si os interesaran:
1. How do you account for the difference in weight for the pack? What is the difference?
2. NMC vs LFP have difference C rates when it comes to output and charging, does the customer know they are likely going to have lower 0-60 times? Does the car know not to pull to much juice from the pack, or
3. Does the car know the limitation of the LFP pack on charging, is this something BMS in the pack communicates to the L3 charging system, or is this the onboard computer's job?

1. The LFP pack is only a couple hundred pounds heavier than the NMC pack. Technically recommended to upgrade the springs, but this customer opted against it for cost savings; still well within the car's GVWR even with existing suspension though.
2. The LFP pack actually has the same power output as the standard range NMC pack, but yes, a tiny bit slower 0-60 due to the weight increase (~0.1-0.2 sec)
3. The HVP controller is what control charging speeds, and all the fast charging hardware (besides the charge port) are located inside the rear section of the pack ("penthouse"). All the rest of the components in the car of course have the correct firmware installed during the firmware redeploy to know what pack is installed and what the limits are.
