My situation is as follows:
I do live in Gibraltar and want to buy a Model 3 Long Range. As Gibraltar is so small there is of course no store or service center from Tesla. So it seems I need to order a Tesla from the Spanish website. Basically I will need to export the car from Spain to Gibraltar. Does anybody know the process to get the car from Tesla and getting it to the Spanish border? I think I need insurance and export plates and some paper for customs. How will it work with the VAT (I export outside of EU / EEA I shouldn't be required to pay any sales tax)? Is Tesla assisting in any of these topics or are there any third party providers for these? Where does Tesla hand over the cars and how does it work currently during Covid rules (not allowed to cross provinces)?

I would like to go to the store in Malaga and ask the questions above there, but due to Covid I am not allowed to cross into the Malaga province and I have no clue how else to contact Tesla. I tried with the online chat. They wrote there is a service center in Estepona and I should contact them, but this seems incorrect.

You have many particularities. I am not sure that Tesla will help you, but you can always try.

In their web page you can find the telephone of Malaga's Service Center. Call them and ask (not sure if they can speak English...).

I think you need to select "Other countries" and you will get It without VAT. I believe you need to pick It up in Netherland too. There are specialised firms that can do the procedures for you, including import, getting the plates, etc.
It is similar to import process for Canary Island, Ceuta and Melilla.

I suggest that you get into contact with the UK Tesla Owners Club. They do have some members from Gibraltar and they should know what to do (maybe for both steering wheel configurations)
